Wow. Finally a positive comment about one of my builds :P thanks a lot. --Sneakysmith12 17:34, 19 June 2007 (EDT)
Sorry dude, no way this can farm UW :(. Readem (talk*pvxcontribs) 18:00, 19 June 2007 (EDT)
Ok, I'll remove the note... wasn't sure :P Thought it had a fair chance honestly :( --Sneakysmith12 02:32, 20 June 2007 (EDT)
Well, it would do alright if it wasn't for the constant interruptions and subsequent overwhelming energy denial.--80.195.193.33 09:48, 21 June 2007 (EDT)
Um... if your referring to Crude Swing when u say interrupted... u should be using it while they are knock down. And as for energy denial... two words zealous mod :P--Sneakysmith12 12:00, 21 June 2007 (EDT)
This reminds me of the W/Mo Vermin Farmer, which I love. I'd test it but I don't have some of the skills. :( Leeroythefeared 22:45, 21 June 2007 (EDT)
If you mean the hard mode one, I can see the similarity(only one really is AoE style), although this has a huge difference in that it uses a hammer :P --Sneakysmith12 07:22, 24 June 2007 (EDT)

Added video links (which I made...) :D --Sneakysmith12 13:46, 25 June 2007 (EDT)

You really need an IAS, I can't imagine slowly swinging that hammer and taking out trolls in any reasonable amount of time. My suggestions, drop endure and FGJ for dolyak signet and flail. And it won't hurt too much to pump Hammer Mastery to 14 and drop your other attributes a bit. Tycn 00:50, 27 June 2007 (EDT)

And BTW, by interruptions and energy denial, 80.195 means the graspings. You're not going to get many attack skills or Vig Spirit off with all their Savage Slashes, and Zealous isn't going to save you against ~5 monsters with "Fear Me!". Tycn 00:53, 27 June 2007 (EDT)

Went ahead and put fail for a variant, Dolyak Signet was already. I'm not to sure if the extra 2 damage from crude swing is worth a 12/9/8 Distribution... Mainly because thats the only hammer skill that needs anything above a 4 :P And what does 80.195 mean? --Sneakysmith12 02:11, 27 June 2007 (EDT)
80.195 is the person who replied to you earlier. "Well, it would do alright if it wasn't for the constant interruptions and subsequent overwhelming energy denial." The person will not have an account, or isn't signed in.Rawrawr Dinosaur 02:26, 5 July 2007 (CEST)
Thanks for the clarification. :D Don't put to much thought to the people with red numbers for names :P -- Sneakysmith12 07:33, 5 July 2007 (CEST)

This works very well thx the video helped me to get this right and now i can farm trolls in hard mode, i can even take on the boss67.183.146.143 06:53, 27 June 2007 (EDT)

Uhh.... Nice going, however how do you get the boss in HM... I have trouble with that LOL :P Nice to know it worked for you though--Sneakysmith12 01:37, 28 June 2007 (EDT)

I'd rather take W/E with earth shaker and aftershock instead of silly little vig spirit. ~~ Napalm Flame ^_^ Image:Napalm_Flame_Sig_Image.JPG‎ (talk)·(contributions) 03:13, 14 July 2007 (CEST)

Hi, you state that you must start your warrior in the Nightfall Campaign in order to use the Whirlwind Attack skill. However that is not true, since I can use that skill on my Prophecies character, all you have to do is take your character to Nightfall from Lions Arch.

Correction, it states that it must be far enough along that you have achieved SS rank 1 (started the campaign), not that you must start in the campaign. -68.102.128.17 03:29, 5 August 2007 (CEST)

Took me a bit to get the timing down but once you get rolling it's ridiculous :P Only problem I found in HM was that there is always one troll left at the end that I can't kill by itself.

It is easiest to switch targets every couple of hits so damage is more even spread. I do this simply by pressing tab after every time I use earth shaker. --68.102.128.17 03:27, 5 August 2007 (CEST)

Um..Belly Smash would do nicely here..70.105.119.211

1 second casting and 30 second recharge... try again :D

I'm always dying. :( --Yorn 19:17, 7 October 2007 (CEST)

Maybe you should try sucking less instead of intentionally wrecking a build's rating. Teutonic 23:53, 1 January 2008 (EST)

[edit] As for voting

I would like to thank those so far who have voted for thier positive encouragement. When the build section was in GuildWiki most people wouldn't take a chance to test my builds... they would have comments such as O_o and would offer no explanation. Real Vetting does seem to be a bit more fair to new ideas. -- Sneakysmith12 16:43, 12 July 2007 (CEST)

Don't worry, I give enough O_o for everyone :). Readem (talk*pvxcontribs) 03:26, 14 July 2007 (CEST)

You and skuld have something in common there O_o. Lol --Sneakysmith12 04:29, 14 July 2007 (CEST)

Could you replace Vigorous Spirit with Essence Bond and take a vampiric weapon instead? I think the vamp weapon would heal more and do more dmg, while essence and balthasar's still covered e.management (you could even swap the healing pts for smiting for more adrenaline per hit to get you going faster).--Theripperfex 05:04, 4 August 2007 (CEST)

No, Essence Bond lets you gain energy when taking damage. The Zealous mod is when you hit something, thus taking out the Zealous mod would hugely hinder the build.--68.102.128.17 03:31, 5 August 2007 (CEST)

I notice in the video Live Vicariously is being used not Balth Spirit as on the build don't think this build could sustain its health only using vig spirit

Just preference. Balth Spirit works fine. If your fighting other things then Balth might be > than Live Vicariously...

[edit] Farming spots

I'm trying this build in some of my usual farming spots to see how it functions outside the usual trolls. So far I can say that it certainly works against spiders outside Rilohn Refuge in NM (replacing Balth with LV, and replacing Endure with Dolyak), monkeys in Arkjok Ward in NM (dolyak instead of Endure, HM is possible, but harder). Just pull the monkeys around the rocks they stay by a few times, until they're adjacent to each other, and attack them. See notes on this build for details on how to get to the spiders. I'll test other areas soon. - (snō hwīt tăn) [sic] [găl'ə-rē] 06:01, 22 September 2007 (CEST)

Well I copied the notes:

[edit] Notes

Arkjok Ward Insects:

  • Weaving through the Veldt Beetle Lance monsters takes some practice as they are very skilled at body blocking you. If it does happen, you can either kill yourself, resurrect, and try again. Or you can kill the monsters body blocking you, collect your items, and map travel.
  • There is a second, smaller group of insects that you may like to farm on the other side.
  • If you brought a running skill, using it while aggroing may cause some of the monsters to give up chasing you and you will loose aggro, to prevent this, don't use them.

The Floodplain of Mahnkelon Spiders:

  • If when fleeing from the spiders you happen to die, it is not a big deal. Resurrect, run back, and they are waiting for you to kill them.

Both:

  • Overusing farming builds in the same area may cause monsters to drop less items, if you feel that that is happening to you, farm in a different location.

Thanks for the input. Always appreciated. --68.102.128.17 02:14, 1 October 2007 (CEST)

Also it causes Anet to nerf the skills in your farming build right?

[edit] Farming SS points in HM outside Sunspear Great Hall

Has anyone tried using this build outside Sunspear Great Hall in Hard Mode? If not, can someone try and post a response? TensaRyu 10/15/07 7:06pm

There is really no point, as you don't get extra benefits from doing it solo and it's slower than the good ol' Desolation ss/lb farm.

[edit] Woot!

Made it to great again! --Sneakysmith12 02:02, 20 January 2008 (EST)

[edit] Archive

Who the hell farms trolls anymore? Needs archive. Image:Zyke-Sig.png 02:55, October 25, 2009 (UTC)
