Build talk:W/D Harrier's Haste Axe
From PvXwiki
with an iffy stance to only cancel Frenzy, it could get ugly for you pretty quickly...--Manbeast15 06:20, 8 December 2007 (CET)
An energy speed boost is pretty much needed on splits, you often won't get a chance to build adrenaline if you have to retreat. Harrier's Haste is the best option. — Tycn (talk*pvxcontribs) 06:28, 8 December 2007 (CET)
- Then go triple stance? Change distracting strike for rush?
Railin 09:25, 8 December 2007 (CET)
- Ehhm, Tync, what you say fails. Enraged should be better in retreating options, and you always pull rush into split bars. Healsign > Natural Healing, you will be sometimes within aegis range so it will cost 10 energy(at flagstand ocassions). Aswell as that bulls is already -3 secs of that +10 dmg, normal shock axe with healsign and shock seems better to me. This works and iz gud in stuff, but I just prefer normal axes 0_o. -

- Rush isn't always used on split bars, and there's hardly room for it here. If you're within Aegis range, then chances are you won't have to spam Natural Healing to stay alive. E-charge is weaker as a chasing stance, and weaker as a cancel too. Natural Healing is better than Healsig for many reasons. — Tycn (talk*pvxcontribs) 23:34, 8 December 2007 (CET)

[edit] Bad reasoning
Energy is fine, as anyone with so much as a basic understanding of warriors would know. Distracting Strike is an unconditional interrupt that doubles as a spike skill, making it much more useful than Distracting Blow. And if there's a better cancel that's available, by all means let me know. — Tycn (talk*pvxcontribs) 23:34, 8 December 2007 (CET)
I was thinking Whirling charge, but you won't have any enchantments unless you have a smiter or something in GvG/TA/HA--Goldenstar 23:44, 8 December 2007 (CET)
- Rend Touch? Too expensive... ~~
frvwfr2 (T/C/Sysop) 23:58, 8 December 2007 (CET)
- Energy is fine, I just didn't include Rend because I wanted to keep the sig as standard. As a primarily split build, WC wouldn't work. — Tycn (talk*pvxcontribs) 00:05, 9 December 2007 (CET)
- With Distrupting Chop your energy would be manageable, but it just come down to the cancel stance and its recharge which would be the only flaw Sneaky Take a Bow 01:24, 9 December 2007 (CET)
- I can tell you from experience that energy with this current bar is fine. The only other option for an IMS would be Pious Haste, and that would cause energy problems. The recharge hardly matters anyway; you're not under fire as much as you think, you can easily frenzy and chop up archers, and you won't be frenzying anyway in dangerous situations. — Tycn (talk*pvxcontribs) 01:40, 9 December 2007 (CET)
- My Guild has tried this build and the Warrior decided that D-Chop is better than Distracting Strike. He did indeed have energy problems with 5 energy skills on his bar. Zuranthium 18:49, 10 December 2007 (CET)
- I've have next to no energy problems with this bar using a zealous axe. D-strikes is a bit more versatile in allowing you to accurately interrupt faster casts while not requiring adrenaline, but it is mostly a matter of personal preference. — Tycn (talk*pvxcontribs) 07:12, 11 December 2007 (CET)
- Dchop on WoH = dead monk. Rly, dchop is with a bit of luck is just better. -

[edit] Err...
Bad energy and unreliable cancel for Frenzy. Big things that will screw this build. Natural Healing is okay, but in the chance you are enchanted, then you're screwed. --

Lrn2warrior, ppl have played with sprint for ages which is same as harrier's haste. -

- Wow, that was an old post. I haven't used that sig for eons. Anyway, I've been using this in AB a bit and it's been rather effective. --

- Lol@no frenzy cancel in AB. or rather, no true cancel.--Dark0805(Rant/Contributions) 20:23, 23 February 2008 (EST)
- I just use Harrier's for a cancel when I need it. Usually though, I'm not under pressure enough so that Frenzy doesn't hurt me. --
GuildofDeals 20:25, 23 February 2008 (EST)
- Harrier's Haste isn't any different from Sprint. Same cost, same recharge. If you can't use Sprint/Harrier's Haste as a cancel, learn to Warrior. --

- Which most people cant. I can run frenzy with sprint. its not hard. i can also watch people get raped with it. i'm saying the average user, especially one playing it in AB, probably cant.--Dark0805(Rant/Contributions) 10:02, 25 February 2008 (EST)
- It is now, since I believe Sprint got its recharge cut to 15 seconds. Also with the buff to Lion's Comfort, this build could go full Axe Mastery and Strength and still carry the IMS and self heal. Gaze Of Balthazar 22:49, 19 March 2008 (EDT)
- The "average" player thinks its effective to run Mending, Fire Storm or Flame Trap on their sword Warrior. Point? --

[edit] Fave'd
Conglaturaoin, this build has been added to my favorites for the following reasons: Fun, nice alternative to shock axe when I wish to use Eviscerate, Hefty damage and harrassment.

[edit] Stonefist - waste of insignia?
Maybe this is a minor issue but I'm confused as to the equipment, especially the use of Stonefist Insignia when your bar only has one conditional KD?
- Sign your comments with four tildes (~ <-- those things) please. Replacing a Survivor's Insignia is just a 5hp cost, minor by any standards (unless you're a 55 ofc) and for it you get to keep your target useless for another second...it's practically another free hit. So it's in there because it can be and it's a minimal cost. -

- Stonefist insignia is the best insignia in the game. Period. ~Dronte~ 14:27, 28 July 2008 (EDT)
