Build:W/Me UW Whirlwind Solo

The UW Whirlwind Solo warrior uses high powered AoE attack skill along with mesmer skills to reduce damage and drain energy to allow you to complete a smite run as fast as 9 minutes, being the fastest and most efficient smite run possible.

Warrior / Mesmer 12 + 1 + 1 Axe Mastery 9 + 1 Strength 9 Illusion Magic 3 Inspiration Magic Echo Core Mesmer. Unlinked Echo Elite Enchantment Spell For 30 seconds, Echo is replaced with the next Skill you use. Echo acts as this Skill for 30 seconds. 10 1 5 Whirlwind Attack Nightfall Warrior. Sunspear rank Whirlwind Attack Melee Attack Attack target and adjacent foes. Each attack that hits deals +13..20 damage. This attack skill has 10% armor penetration. 1 6 Lion's Comfort Nightfall Warrior. Strength 10 Lion's Comfort Skill All of your signets are disabled for 12 seconds. You are healed for 90 Health, and gain 2 strike[s] of adrenaline. 1 1 4 Physical Resistance Prophecies Mesmer. Inspiration Magic 3 Physical Resistance Stance For 42 seconds, You gain +40 armor against physical damage, but you lose 22 armor against elemental damage. 20 10 Bonetti's Defense Prophecies Warrior. Tactics 0 Bonetti's Defense Stance For 5 seconds, you have a 75% chance to block melee and projectile attacks. You gain 5 Energy for each successful melee attack blocked. Bonetti's Defense ends if you use a skill. 8 Ancestor's Visage Factions Mesmer. Illusion Magic 9 Ancestor's Visage Enchantment Spell For 8 seconds, whenever target ally is hit by a melee attack, all adjacent foes lose all adrenaline and 3 Energy. 20 1 10 Sympathetic Visage Prophecies Mesmer. Illusion Magic 9 Sympathetic Visage Enchantment Spell For 8 seconds, whenever target ally is hit by a melee attack, all adjacent foes lose all adrenaline and 3 Energy. 20 1 10 Sprint Core Warrior. [edit] Equipment

Armor :

• Full Knight's Insignias.
• Superior Absorption Rune.
• Vitae Runes.

Weapons :

• A Zealous Axe of Enchanting.
• A Strength Shield with +45hp/-2damage (stance) inscriptions. Arrahhsh's Aegis is ideal.
• A Longbow/Flatbow for pulling smites will help alot.

[edit] Usage

[edit] The Chamber

• Use Sprint to run up and take the Clear the Chamber quest from the lost soul, and run back to a safe position.
• Pre-cast one of your visages and use Sprint as an IMS to pull the groups of Grasping Darkness to the center shrine.
• Auto-attack and use your attack skills to build up adrenaline.
• Once charged, use Bonetti's Defense followed by one of your visages and Physical Resistance.
• Use Echo followed by Whirlwind Attack. Using one will recharge the other, so you can constantly spam them.
• Re-apply your visages and Physical Resistance whenever needed.
• If your health gets low, use Lion's Comfort

[edit] The Run

• Once you have completed the quest, run along the right side to the open gate, being sure to break aggro with the three or four nearby Aatxes.
• Echo Sprint for a constant IMS on the way to the smites.

[edit] The Smites

• Use the same techniques used above on the Grasping Darkness.
• If a Smite Crawler casts Shield of Judgment stop using your AoE for about 15 seconds and keep reapplying your Visages.
• Try to pull as many smites as possible, as you can kill 6 or you can kill 50 in the same amount of time. Watch out for Coldfires as they can kill you.
• If a Dying Nightmare pops up kill it before it can pull your visages.

[edit] Notes

• A Sunspear rank as low as 4 will have the same damage as cyclone axe. Any higher and the damage increases.
