The Spiteful Spirit Necromancer utilizes Spiteful Spirit and other Necromancer hexes to shutdown enemy physical attackers, as well as doing meaningful damage.

Necromancer / Elementalist 12 + 1 + 1 Curses 12 + 1 Soul Reaping Spiteful Spirit Prophecies Necromancer. Curses 14 Spiteful Spirit Elite Hex Spell For 19 seconds, whenever target foe attacks or uses a skill, Spiteful Spirit deals 33 shadow damage to that foe and all adjacent allies of that foe. 10 2 15 Reckless Haste Factions Necromancer. Curses 14 Reckless Haste Hex Spell For 12 seconds, target foe and all adjacent foes are Hexed with Reckless Haste. While Hexed, they attack 25% faster but have a 50% chance to miss with attacks. 12 1 15 Price of Failure Prophecies Necromancer. Curses 14 Price of Failure Hex Spell For 30 seconds, target foe has a 25% chance to miss with attacks and takes 43 damage whenever that foe fails to hit in combat. 20 2 15 Faintheartedness Core Necromancer. Curses 14 Faintheartedness Hex Spell For the next 23 seconds, target foe attacks 50% slower, and that foe suffers -3 Health degeneration. 8 1 10 Parasitic Bond Core Necromancer. Curses 14 Parasitic Bond Hex Spell For 20 seconds, target foe suffers -1 Health degeneration. The caster is healed for 114 when Parasitic Bond ends. 2 1 5 Optional Core No Profession. Unlinked Optional Optional Optional. Glyph of Lesser Energy Core Elementalist. Energy Storage 0 Glyph of Lesser Energy Glyph For the next 15 seconds, your next 2 Spells cost 10 less Energy to cast. 30 1 5 Resurrection Signet Core No Profession. Unlinked Resurrection Signet Signet Resurrect target party member. That party member is returned to life with 100% Health and 25% Energy. • Use your hexes on physical attackers.
• Use Parasitic Bond to cover your other hexes.
• Use Glyph of Lesser Energy for energy-management.
• Don't use Faintheartedness on anyone on whom you've used Spiteful Spirit as it will decrease the effectiveness of the latter by 50%

• Signet of Lost Souls can be used if you are having difficulties managing your energy.
• For spreading disease, take Rotting Flesh.
• Take Ward Against Melee for defense against melee.
• Equip Ward Against Foes for snaring enemies in the area.
• Suffering can be equipped for additional and AoE health degeneration.
• Take Malaise to pressure enemy energy bars
• Bolster your hexes' power with Awaken the Blood.
• Insidious Parasite works well in Arenas for anti-melee.
• Take Defile Defenses as an alternate cover and to counteract blocking.
• Take Hexer's Vigor for healing.
• Enfeebling Blood can help negate any damage capabilities (such as by Reckless Haste) even more.
• Mark of Pain will deal heavy AoE, if you can find teammates to call out and attack targets.
• Foul Feast for condition removal.
