Build:A/Me Permaform Runner

The PvXwiki community finds this to be a good build. Through the PvX vetting system, it has reached an overall Rating in the range from 3.75 to < 4.75 and thus qualifies for the medium category of working builds: Good. This build has been designed for the following use: PvE running

The inspiration to create this build was brought about when Shadow Form got nerfed on December 11, 2008. This build is basically the same as the ever-popular A/E Perma-SF Runner you see everywhere, except it can perform much better and doesn't run out of energy as easily. The A/E Perma-SF still works, but you would need to run at normal speed for a few while Dark Escape finishes recharging and to get the extra energy you need so you can actually get the combo back up again.

This build uses Deadly Paradox, Arcane Echo, and Shadow Form to keep you alive, while Dwarven Stability, Dash, and Mindbender make you run fast. There is also Auspicious Incantation to give an extra boost of energy with each cast of of the chain, and an optional slot. This build is probably the most complicated of Assassin running builds, but is easy enough to grasp when you practice it enough.

Inspiration Magic 12 Auspicious Incantation Enchantment Spell For 20 seconds, the next spell you cast is disabled for an additional 6 seconds, and you gain 182% of that spell's Energy cost. 25 1 5 Deadly Paradox Nightfall Assassin. Deadly Arts Deadly Paradox Stance All of your attack Skills are disabled for 10 seconds. For 5..13..16 seconds, your Assassin Skills activate and recharge 33% faster. 10 15 Arcane Echo Core Mesmer. Unlinked Arcane Echo Enchantment Spell If you cast a Spell in the next 20 seconds, Arcane Echo is replaced with that Spell for 20 seconds. Arcane Echo ends prematurely if you use a non-Spell skill. 20 2 15 Shadow Form Factions Assassin. Shadow Arts 16 Shadow Form Elite Enchantment Spell For 22 seconds, all hostile Spells that target you fail and all attacks against you miss, but you deal 33% less damage. When Shadow Form ends, lose all but 53 Health. 45 1 10 Dwarven Stability EotN No Profession. Deldrimor rank Dwarven Stability Enchantment Spell For 24..30 seconds, your Stances last 55..100% longer. [edit] Equipment

• Armor
  • +1 Shadow Arts head with a +3 Shadow Arts rune put inside and a Radiant Insignia.
  • Fill the rest of your armor with Radiant Insignias and Runes of Attunement.
• Weapons
  • One-handed weapon with +20% Enchantments and "I have the Power!" inscription.
  • Off-hand with at least +6 to energy.

[edit] Usage

• Equip your armor and weapons then enter a zone.
• Cast the first 6 skills in order. (Auspicious Incantation, Deadly Paradox, Arcane Echo, Shadow Form, Dwarven Stability, Dash)
• Run.
• When the recharging Shadow Form (4th skill) gets to where it looks like the 7-o'clock point on a clock (At the corner after the halfway point), cast the echoed Shadow Form (3rd skill).
• Run.
• Use Mindbender for a speed boost during Dash's downtime.
• Run.
• Recast your echo chain with Auspicious (have Auspicious cast by the time Arcane Echo is recharged).
  • If you do this correctly, you will have a never ending Shadow Form and a very fast run.
