You have three optional slots there. I would highly suggest putting in recommended skills next to the build. Maybe organize them by profession if it truly is Any/D :D --Sneakysmith12 00:53, 3 July 2007 (CEST)

I think the variants section makes up for first prof's skills. But you are right, I could put a few Dervish suggestion under the skill template. Ranger-iconLuobailong ···talk ···builds 09:00, 3 July 2007 (CEST)

needs pious haste ~ Darksyde Never Again

Care to elaborate that? What needs Pious Haste, and what for? Ranger-iconLuobailong ···talk ···builds 02:14, 5 July 2007 (CEST)

A list such as in the Barrage Guide, giving example skills of what each different Primary might use, would be extraordinarily helpful. Just a suggestion. Readem (talk*pvxcontribs) 02:22, 5 July 2007 (CEST)

Where can that Barrage Guide be found, as the in-wiki search wouldn't reveal any useful results. Ranger-iconLuobailong ···talk ···builds 10:22, 5 July 2007 (CEST)

Hey, if Luobailong made it, it must work. --Mgrinshpon (C/T) 05:12, 5 July 2007 (CEST)

I think that warriors and paragons might not be able to keep up with the energyloss. --Arthas 07:04, 5 July 2007 (CEST)

Yes, thats particularly problematic. Both low-energy, high-armor profession only provide a minimal pool of energy not being able to cope with expensive Enchantments that you need to keep up all the time. I will include a note about that in the article excluding these two professions where other builds (W/Mo) are much more helpful. Ranger-iconLuobailong ···talk ···builds 10:14, 5 July 2007 (CEST)

I like the idea very much, but there is one problem: there isn't much variety we can offer for alternative running skills for each profession. Thus, it would rather be a waste to open sections in the article distinguished profession-wise offering alternative skills, for there ain't (m)any. Ranger-iconLuobailong ···talk ···builds 21:59, 5 July 2007 (CEST)
Why not just add Lyssa's Haste? — Rapta Rapta Icon1 (talk|contribs) 22:02, 5 July 2007 (CEST)
That might work if the net gain is high enough. I'd even try it out if my Warrior wouldn't miss skill pts, lol. Too sad to be true. Problematic would be if we had to compensate the health loss with Mystic Regeneration all the time, which would destroy our nice idea of an additional energy income. Ranger-iconLuobailong ···talk ···builds 11:45, 7 July 2007 (CEST)

I don't think this would work with Dervish as a secondary profession because mysticism could not be increased with att points, which would give Vow of Silence a shorter duration. --Stenzi 02:41, 7 July 2007 (CEST)

Still possible. For example a ranger with VoS can easily accomplish it. Readem (talk*pvxcontribs) 02:43, 7 July 2007 (CEST)
that is probably true, i just think it makes more sense to have Dervish as first profession, but i havn't tried it, so i won't criticize anymore :] --Stenzi 03:47, 7 July 2007 (CEST)
It is not necessary to keep up VoS all the time, interrupting the first hexes is good enough as various secondary Derv builds can prove.Ranger-iconLuobailong ···talk ···builds 11:45, 7 July 2007 (CEST)

If no one is tired of Forge Runner builds, then I'd like to create a Mo/D Forge Runner build page with Blessed Light as Elite, and as little Dervish in it as possible. — Ranger-iconLuobailong ···talk ···builds 01:38, 2 August 2007 (CEST)

Anything you make seems to work like a charm. I can't see why not. —ǥȓɩηɔɧ/〛 01:50, 2 August 2007 (CEST)

Since this is aimed at an Any/D audience, offer 'I am unstoppable!' as an option. It requires EOTN, but it is a godly running skill for any class.

"Forge Running for Dummies"[]

It's no pro-runner build, but for any player who wants to get somewhere without paying someone who was lucky enough to pick Dervish as their primary profession, this build is godly... I don't think it's really fair to compare this to any other running builds, because the effectiveness of this setup depends a lot on what primary profession you did choose, but any build that lets a Mesmer run almost anywhere he/she wants by him/herself is a good build in my book. :D

Now someone needs to make a halfway decent any/any Farming build... --GEO-logo Jioruji Derako.> 05:23, 3 August 2007 (CEST)

there is a decent any/any farming build, but it requires NF or EotN - it's called Hero Fast Faction Farming (see farming builds, I don't remember the exact name). Really good runners may be able to net as much as 9000 gold an hour without any fails (my personal best is about 7200, but I take breaks - I can do the run in as little as 43 seconds). Sure it's not as fast as solo ecto farming, but it is any/any ;) --False Prophet 15:07, 29 January 2008 (EST)
I would not underestimate the non-Dervish professions. The Ranger, and Assassin can run Tyria pretty reliable, and the builds provided here for Droknar's Forge may not be as efficient than primary Derv Droks builds, but are still reliable for this run. — Ranger-iconLuobailong ···talk ···builds 14:51, 3 August 2007 (CEST)
I use this do ToA runs on my Monk. Not as difficult as Droks, but its still a running caster :P 76.170.11.100 01:47, 27 July 2008 (EDT)

Any/D[]

Primary profession should not be variable! I vote for D/any, with mention that it can work with any primary profession with (insert lowest necessary stats here). -- Armond WarbladeArmond sig image{{sysop}} 03:06, 5 August 2007 (CEST)

why not... that would just complicate things. The Generic Forge Runner allows any high-energy-regen, low-armor profession to successfully run the Droknar's Forge run at a highly reliable level. its not made for dervs The preceding awesome-sauce comment was added by Skakid9090 (contribs). 03:08, 5 August 2007 (CEST)
But Any/D looks so ugly. -- Armond WarbladeArmond sig image{{sysop}} 03:48, 5 August 2007 (CEST)
Yes, it looks ugly but it's necessary, and only logical. Users without Dervishs will look here first. If we made it D/Any it will be very much confusing, and the whole article would have to be rewritten. Putting all these sub-Dervish builds into this Any/D article saved us some good extra build pages of Me/D, etc, which are all based on the same VoS idea. Not a too bad deal. — Ranger-iconLuobailong ···talk ···builds 13:02, 5 August 2007 (CEST)
And for all intents and purposes, if we ever start sorting builds into categories by profession, this build can simply be stuck into every profession category. Like Luobailong mentioned, it's a hell of a lot simpler then splitting this into 8 different articles (Me/D, R/D, Mo/D, A/D, E/D, N/D, Rt/D, and of course, D/any). Now that would look ugly. --GEO-logo Jioruji Derako.> 21:32, 5 August 2007 (CEST)
You're missing warrior and paragon primaries (at least, I hope they of all professions could do it). Alright, I'll not say any more, but I'm still not thrilled with it. -- Armond WarbladeArmond sig image{{sysop}} 22:16, 5 August 2007 (CEST)
They were excluded due to their low energy pool. However, Lyssa's Haste would be an option, no one went into testing it yet. For the Warrior there is still the /Mo build. — Ranger-iconLuobailong ···talk ···builds 22:19, 5 August 2007 (CEST)
As for the Any/D, which Any is the skills template for? You need 9 templates, one for each primary profession cause the template only works for the primary profession it was taken from. Magua 07:48, 23 December 2007 (EST)

R/D Forge Runner Video[]

The high quality download link seems to be broken 87.194.113.90 23:19, 30 August 2007 (CEST)

Is this possible with a necro primary, and which extra skills should I use if it is?

The Introduction is crap. Wall of texts should be in your user page. Oh and hai 2 u! If it's any/D it's possible with any class as primary. Howevah this build is for necro primary and may therefore yield better result, maybe. Godbox GodlyCompanion-cube 15:20, 29 January 2008 (EST)

Mystic Regeneration[]

Amazingly, this nerf happens to have no effect on a build running 3 enchantments. PLEASE! the only degeneration you run into on droknars forge is the occasional bleeding, and maybe a life siphon in dreadnaught's drift. This is still perfectly viable. Invincible Rogue 11:01, 13 February 2008 (EST)

needs to be updated, MR duration now depends on lvl EP, so don't know iff it still works, and iff the nerf is still put...

E/D Running?[]

I'm getting pretty ennoyed by the fact that there is no ele running build at all for even something as easy as Chest Running boreas... I tried a lot of things and everything had his own flaw, so can anyone post here A running build with ele primary, doesn't matter what purpose it has, as long as it can run things... ele might be uber farm prof, but it can't run anything, Sanctum Cay is more like farming in my eyes. Can someone plz help me out (i know i sound and look noobish, but just help me iff you can, tnx^^)

Ty for the build, but i already used that one :P but, again, ty anway Bright is Da Name 14:58, 15 April 2008 (EDT)

Great Build?![]

Ok, i gave no idea how this got into the Great section but this absolutely stinks, 5 seconds VoS? Your asking for trouble on a Drok run.Tengu 17:33, 2 April 2008 (EDT)

If you take a Dervish Primary and put some points into Mysticism, you won't have that problem. Also, 5 seconds of spell immunity out of 10 is better than none. XD -Mike 18:10, 2 April 2008 (EDT)

Shadow Form overpower[]

Ok, no offence dude, nice build and all, but with the recent Shadow Form buff, this build is totaly underpowered, Assassin can run pretty much anything now... i think this will be overruled soon iff it doesn't get un-buffed... Bright is Da Name 15:44, 25 May 2008 (EDT)

The point of this build isn't efficiency (at least compared to primary Dervishes), it's to allow professions other than those two to be able to run this without a huge amount of trouble. You can argue that they can simply make new characters, but some might not want to, or not be able to do, due to a limited amount of slots. Besides, some people like a good challenge.--Denerynn 09:48, 16 June 2008 (EDT)
