A GvG R-Spike team utilises the spiking power of Glass Arrows rangers combined with the versatility of support characters to deliver a devastating spike and reasonable pressure.

Composition Edit

Shadow Prison Warrior (caller) Edit

Equipment Edit

  • Vampiric, Zealous and Ebon 15^50 Axes of Fortitude.
  • A Strength shield of fortitude. Anti-spike sets.
  • Full survivor's insignias.

Usage Edit

  • Pressure and build adrenaline between spikes.
  • Call spikes on Shadow Prison's recharge. Shadow Prison to the enemy, activate Frenzy, and use Dismember -> Executioner's Strike -> Agonizing Chop.
  • Use Rush as a cancel stance for Frenzy.
  • Use Enraging Charge to quickly gain adrenaline.

Counters Edit

  • Anti-melee hexes and conditions applied right before the spike.
  • Constant linebacking, however Shadow Prison helps counter this.

  • Hornbows and recurve bows of your chosen element.
  • Full survivor's.
  • The usual anti-spike shield sets

Usage Edit

  • Maintain Conjures and Glass Arrows.
  • Interrupt key skills with Savage Shot and Distracting Shot between spikes.
  • Spike using Dual Shot -> Savage Shot.

Counters Edit

  • Enchantment removal, to a small extent.
  • Interruption of Glass Arrows.

Blinding Surge Warder Edit

Usage Edit

  • Maintain Air Attunement.
  • Use Wards and BSurge to mitigate damage between spikes.
  • Spike using Lightning Orb -> Blinding Surge.
  • Between the main spikes, coordinate with the team for smaller spikes to maintain pressure.

Counters Edit

  • Enchantment removal.
  • Interrupts.
  • Skill disabling.

  • A 40-40 domination set.
  • Full survivor's.
  • The usual anti-spike shield sets

Usage Edit

  • Pressure enemies using Diversion and Shame.
  • Interrupt important shouts and spells such as Defensive Anthem and Aegis with Power Leak/Drain.
  • Shame/Diversion monks before the spike. Spike using Shatter Enchantment.
  • Use your hard resurrect whenever possible.

Counters Edit

  • Stance removal.
  • General anti-caster.

SoD Monk Edit

  • RoF and GoH as general heals.
